Arduino ist eine open source Alternative für digital / analoge Datenverarbeitung für mediale Künstler. Man kann sehr einfach auch ohne großes elektronisches Fachwissen Sensoren auslesen oder z.B. Motoren steuern.

Die Elektronik gibt es für ca. 25 Euro und kann mit einer eigenen Entwicklungsumgebung leicht programmiert werden. Für weitere Entwicklungsumgebungen wie zum Beispiel Processing, Openframworks, Max/Msp,…  gibt es entsprechende Schnittstellen.

Es gibt zahlreiche Beispielprogramme die einem den Umgang mit Arduino erleichtern.
